A good escape with local charm

The cozy pub atmosphere welcomed us, and the food was next-level delicious. Conversing with friendly locals over drinks was a highlight.

Breakfast timing was quite strict, leaving us feeling a bit rushed. We would have appreciated more flexibility in choosing our options.

The stay here was great on the weekend. The location next visiting The Lakes was particularly good and absolutely perfect for us. And it was also adjacent to the george washington @ dinnertime. The staff was supper friendly, always on hand when needed.

Overall it is a lovely hotel and we really enjoyed the stay, the location was marvellous close to the lakes.

Had a lovely 2-night stay! The atmosphere was perfect, not too loud and not too quiet. Our room was super clean and the bed was really comfy. Brekfast was delish with great ingredients, and the couple running it were so friendly! We also enjoyed some really good ales at the bar!

The views were amazing from the top! It was a fantastic way to bond as a family. Janet and James were really helpful, sharing tips for local activities. The cozy ambiance added to our fun family getaway.

There were a few minor inconveniences, like the small size of the en suite shower and inconsistent meal quality on different nights. A pleasant stay with room for some improvements to enhance the experience further.

The washington has a fantastic atmosphere, perfectly balanced between lively and relaxed. The breakfast was superb with great ingredients, and i loved the huge, comfy room and en-suite. The couple running the pub were wonderful hosts.
